I expect the following from you during author readings:
- Arrive on time.
- Be prepared by reading some of the author's works ahead of time.
- Bring at least one question you have about his/her work, publishing, something in your writing that you are struggling with.
- Listen as he speaks and ask questions about what he is saying.
- Sit up and look at him. No heads on desks, please.
- Thank him before you leave the room or stay behind to say to him what the experience means to you.
