Writing 12: Time to do a little Literary Event Planning

I know that authors often have weak social skills and you may prefer a good book to a first date, but, new evidence suggests that reading that good book will actually prepare you for that first date. But the book MUST be literary. So put down that Danielle Steele that beach-bum tome and pick up Alice Munro or Margaret Atwood or Charlotte Bronte or Anton Chekov:
